Merchandise Return Policy
We understand that sometimes it is necessary to return items
purchased in the Bookstore. Although our main purpose is to sell
merchandise, if there is a legitimate problem or defect with the
article, we will gladly work with you to arrive at an amicable solution
within the following guidelines:
- Returns accompanied by a receipt
We will gladly refund you the full amount of purchase on a defective or
resellable item when it is returned along with the original receipt. In
the event that the merchandise was purchased on a MasterCard or Visa
charge card, we will require both the register and the charge card
receipts; in these instances we will only be able to credit your
account.
- Returns not accompanied by a receipt
In the event that you are unable to produce a receipt for the items you
wish to return, we will not refund you a cash amount. If the item is
resellable or defective, we will gladly exchange the merchandise for
other products from our store, or you may wish to have a store gift
certificate issued in your name.
We hope that you understand the necessity for this return policy. It
is intended to help us provide you with the best service possible as
well as to allow us to maintain the most competitive pricing for our
situation. We appreciate your business. Thank you.
NOTE: This policy only applies to non-textbook items, please see
the textbook page for that return policy.

Textbook Return
Policy
Full Refund:
Please note that during the first two weeks of classes each semester
Bookstore personnel will staple a return policy to your sales reciepts
at the time of textbook purchases. Here are the general guidelines.
Please see the return policy stapled to your reciepts for the actual
dates of the guidelines outlined below.
Beginning the first day of classes and running until the second
weekend of the semester (approximately the first ten days of classes),
you can receive a full (100%) refund if your return meets the
following requirements:
- Books must not have been used by you or anyone else. Used books are
returnable but you may not read a used book and return it to the
bookstore for a refund.
- New books must be in saleable condition. New books must be clean and
unmarked in any way. Shrink-wrapped books must still be in the shrink
wrap.
- As the only proof of purchase, you must have your sales
receipt.
Partial Refund:
Should you miss the full refund deadline you may still receive a refund
of 75%; however, you must return the book within the first three weeks
of the beginning of the semester.
SPECIAL NOTE:There are occasions when a book is non-returnable to
a publisher. In those instances, we will post this so you know that the
book is non-refundable.
**Unfortunately, we do not know if a professor will actually use a
book in a class or not. We are not responsible if this should occur. You
will still need to abide by the refund policy.
Book Buy Back:
At the end of each semester we have a book company come to the Bookstore
to buy back used books.
REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR RECEIPT!

Faculty/Staff Discounts
While our main focus is serving the students of Cedarville
University, we also place a high priority on meeting the needs of our
faculty and staff. In order to accomplish this goal, we have instituted a
number of faculty and staff privileges.
Faculty/Staff Discounts:
A discount of 20% on
most* bookstore items is extended to University personnel and their
family members living at home or enrolled in a college or university.
You must identify yourself as faculty, staff, or family before the
cashier begins to ring the sale through the register.
*Faculty and staff discounts do not apply to purchases of candy,
textbooks, or sale items.
